Lately Saturdays are my workout days; golf in the morning, cardio dance and 90 minutes of line dance funk. Then out cold for the night with a lot of zzzzz. 19th March 2011 was no different but I had a shorter LDF session because I had Super Junior's Super Show 3 with Eela. Saphhire time baby..!!
So, the first program of the day is Golf Clinic with Zaim, Huda and Zaid; the bros first class, mine and Huda's third. Abah was there, he took videos and also hit a few balls. As we were getting more familiar with our swing, the golf balls disappeared at a faster rate compared to the weeks before. And little white dots littered the range by the time we were finished. So pretty.. We stopped by Pizza Hut for a semi-heavy lunch before heading home.
I went to gym for cardio dance. A new must-class for me especially since the instructor likes to teach different parts of the choreography and the sequence will tend to be quite fast and really hard. Lo and behold, he's also using JLo's new song!! Reminder: Must download "On The Floor" later. Then it's Line Dance Funk time!! Though I didn't really had time to spare, I stuck around for One (Epik High), Sway (Michael Buble) and On The Floor (JLo feat Pitbull baby!!) before rushing off.
I picked Eela up a little before 5. Since we took the MEX, we managed to get to Stadium Putra at 5.45pm. We got a nice parking spot not faraway from the entrance. We stopped by to see the official goodies (RM100 for one freaking towel..!! Eeeps..!!) while smiling seeing all the girls and some boys in blue and then quickly got inside when they announced that the doors were closing. Our seats were a little higher up the incline was quite steep; I actually think if we were to lean a bit further we'll tumble down all the way to the bottom.
The show started just a little after 6. Donghae rose from the middle of the stage and when he came down he was joined by the rest; Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Yesung, Heechul, Shindong, Sungmin, Kyuhyun and Ryeowook. They started with an awesome performance of Sorry Sorry.. Aah, how viral this song was and possibly the only song that non-fans know.. Never get tired of hearing it.. They followed that up with Super Girl and during Don't Don's finale 4 of the members were suspended in mid-air with fireworks shooting out of their fingers. HOTT!! I was always on the lookout for a bit of EunHae love (Coz they're just the best.. EVER!!) and among the first ones was during No Other, but was foiled by the meddling powers of Yesung.. Sheesh.. Leeteuk and Sungmin then rose to the air with balloons on their back throwing confetti in the air..
The official introduction was cute with each member being a specific character.. Off the top of my head, Eunhyuk was a native Indian, Ryeowook was a snake charmer, Heechul was a bullfighter of sorts and someone was a Royal Guard (Siwon?).. Anyway, it was uber cute the way they came out with costumes and all and even had their own caption..
As far as solos go, there were many Chinese songs. I especially loved Leeteuk's rendition of Kiss Goodbye originally sung by Lee Hom and Henry's sentimental-turned-super-bouncy Baby by JB. EunHae's duet dance song (I Wanna Love U) was just brilliant. I loved every bit of it and am super jelous of the dancer girl they were fighting for. And a big shout out for Yesung for singing 'It Had To Be You' a track from the kdrama Cinderella Unnie. Hearing the song live was definitely my highlight of the concert. Gomawoyo..
Sapphire lightsticks ON!!
The video inserts in between live performance range from dark to over-the-top cute and downright funny. They made a video showing how SuJu T was formed which involved a Fattinator (none other than Shindong) and Horse1000.. Totally ROTFL.. There were cool fight scenes and the last one showed life of the rich and famous. But my absolute favourite was the tribute to Kangin. Suddenly we saw a figure hovering around the boys as they were performing and it turned out to be Kangin in his official attire, saluting the ELFs with a smile.. And then confetti showers!! Aaaw, soo sweet.. I had a tear in my eyes by the time it was finished. Yeah, we miss him too..
Bonamana was also one of my fave performance of the night. The high energy was contagious. Unfortunately, we couldn't jump up due to our precarious seats and had to contain all the excitement. Such a waste of energy.. Eunhyuk was bouncing everytime he was on stage. The man could not stop dancing. Even while everyone was just walking around, he'd be dancing. He actually danced till his shoelaces untangled.. Precious..
The encore was them coming out as vegetables and singing Cooking Cooking. Donghae was beansprouts and Eunhyuk was mushroom, don't really remember the others. (EunHae bias again). But through half of the song Eunhyuk fell down and couldn't get up and Kyuhyun just laughed and looked at him. It took him a few minutes to actually help the poor guy, and that was after a few futile attempts. Bad Kyuhyun!! Then they took out this basket full of little autographed colored balls and threw them to the audience. Some tried to throw them to the top tier but failed magnificently.
There were a lot of fail moments in the final ment, mostly due to their totally adorable fail in English. Siwon did try to attempt some comprehensible strings of sentences and asked that we pray for Japan. In the end the boys shouted a lots of "Apa Khabar" and resorted to singing English songs (Donghae sang Just The Way You Are). We all sang Happy Birthday for Eunhyuk, but sadly no cake.. Boo!! Heechul would come out occasionally during the performances, with shades or mask that hides his injury from the previous concert in Shanghai. In the final bow he said, "Don't worry I not sick", LOL.. And after all of them waved goodbye, they made their exit at a little after 9pm.
Me and Eela quickly made our way out before the exit became congested and barely managed to beat the jam. We spazzed a bit on the way back, noting that our section were a little quiet and it felt like just the two of us were doing the screaming. Because the seat was not so ergonomic and we've been siting for 3 hours, my back was killing me..!! And once again, I failed to meet up with Helman. Sorry bro.. Next time k.. Thank you thank you thank you again to Eela. My only KPop concert friend.. My true savior you are..
