Not long ago
I first knew what heartbrteak was
And soon after that my heart was shattered again
Bravely I tried to put it back together
Pretended like everything was fine
Pretended like I was strong
But what you don't know is
Every now and then
My heart will be sliced into a thousand pieces
My tears will stream freely down
And I still say that I am fine
With a smile on my face
In the hopes that those words will come true
Sometime in the near future
In the hopes that someday
My heart can stop hurting
And I'll finally be able to accept everything
In the hopes that someday
I'll be truly happy again
